CAPTURING AUTUMN IN SEASONAL PORTRAIT SESSIONS
It really felt as though we were moving into the Winter season, when I was asked to photograph these three delightful children. The trees were beginning to look a bit bare, the ground a bit muddied with leaves, and the weather damp, but a friend suggested we locate at Hall Place in Bexley Heath to take the pictures. Although just a short car drive away from where I live, I had never been there before. Hall Place is a lovely large house with greenhouses and extensive gardens, home to a many grand and exotic trees, which to my delight were still holding onto most of their leaves. Hall place was hosting a large Christmas fair in and around the house, which highlighted the change in season even more, emphasising the fact that we were photographing on borrowed time. It was a dull day, but the colours that remained on the trees sang with the last colours of Autumn. Capturing Autumn in seasonal portrait sessions is to add an extra depth of colour and richness to the images. Browns, yellows, reds and glorious oranges formed the perfect backdrop against which to photograph Maddy, Bethan and Reece. The three of them were fantastic and between playful interludes, where they ran off to explore, I captured these images. They even sneaked a couple of Christmas jumpers in there!
